In the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp, a new feature is being given to hide muted status. This feature of WhatsApp was in the development stage for the last several months and now this feature has been enabled for testing. With this feature, the muted status can be hidden from the WhatsApp status section. The currently muted status appears at the bottom but it will be completely hidden after the introduction of this feature.
The new update has been spotted by a user in the WhatsApp's latest beta version 2.19.260. We have also seen this feature on a similar version. WABetaInfo has also confirmed that WhatsApp may be rolling out Hyde muted status updates.
If you want to see this new feature of WhatsApp, then it is necessary to be a part of WhatsApp Google Play beta program. Apart from this, you can also download the latest version from APK Mirror. Recall that the muted status update feature was first spotted in WhatsApp beta version 2.19.183 in June.
Once this feature is enabled, the muted updates will automatically be hidden. A down arrow appears next to the muted updates tab, after clicking on it, you will start seeing muted status updates, for the information of the people, let us know that at the moment the arrow button appears above.
